Christmas 2017 was truly special. Not only did I visit Munnar, one of Kerala’s most popular hill stations, but my family had also joined me.

This area is known for its scenic beauty and breathtaking views.

It was a pleasure to look at some of nature’s most beautiful gifts all-day-long.

This Hill station is known for its numerous tea gardens, orchards and the hills.

  The best way to get to Munnar is by road. It is situated on the borders of Tami Nadu and Kerala.

If you enjoy off-road driving then look no further.

Munnar is the place to be.

It is approximately 4 hours from Kochi.

You have a wide range of options with regards to accommodation including homestays or even holiday resorts.

Closest Airports: Madurai, Kochi

Closest railway stations: Ernakulam, Kottayam, Madurai

You could consider travelling by bus as well.

However, it would be wiser to use your own means of transport if you wish to travel by road.

Places to see: Kolakumalai, Meesapulimala, etc.

Places of stay: Homestays, resorts, Youth Hotels.

Munnar is also known for a few camping spots.

It is, hence, wise for one to tag along with a trekking group who is ever of the geography of the hill station.
