Gitanjali Diwakar is a lawyer with a passion for news, cinema, and performing arts. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication from the University of Madras and a Postgraduate Diploma in Television Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai. Her love for research led her to pursue a Master’s in Magazine Journalism from Cardiff University, Wales. From 2012 to 2022, Ms. Diwakar worked at some of India’s leading news organisations, including TIMES Now, the Malayala Manoram Co Pvt Ltd (Manorama Online), The Hindu Group of Publications, and has published many articles related to healthcare, business, and society. In 2022, she pivoted into the legal space with an aim to synergise journalism and law, thereby adding more value to the research she engaged in. Presently, she has successfully blended both worlds and strives towards helping and encouraging more individuals to navigate statutes as well as their application in relation to various contracts such as commercial businesses, property rentals, and more.
