Upset or rather disappointed over the postponement of a trek to the hills of Idukki, Kerala, I decided to drive around Kochi and explore those areas that I have always yearned to have a glimpse of.
As I drove past Marine Drive, via the Goshreepalam, a sense of peace and calm had bestowed upon me. It was like a powerful force had unleashed the free-spirit in me.
At first, I choose to visit my most favourite place in the city – the Puthuvypin Beach. The waves and the silent surroundings were worth the hour-long drive (due to an unpredictable traffic jam at a popular junction).

While driving back, I noticed many people heading towards the famous Vallarpadam Bascillica. “Maybe I should explore the place, after all. I have never been there before,”I thought to myself. The place was serene and was unique in every sense. Who would have imagined a place as quite as this to be part of the Kerala’s one and only commercial capital!
